The closest feeling you can have to what it must be like on Mars is going to the Moab area. The scenery is just amazing, and there are tons of fun things to do on a family vacation. For the adventurous family, it’s a perfect road-trip destination hiking is incredible, especially around sunrise and sunset. Moab feels very remote, so you can really disconnect completely.

Santorini, a Greek island, is known for its unbelievable views, breathtaking sunsets and charming villages. Located in the Aegean Sea, Santorini's unique geography was shaped by a volcanic eruption over 3,000 years ago. This dramatic event created the iconic caldera, a crescent-shaped bay surrounded by towering cliffs, and it is one of the island's most distinguishing features. 

Lana'i was the first island I visited in Hawai'i, and it still holds a special place in my heart. Admittedly, I had stayed away from the islands, as I worried they'd be overly touristy like the big island. The island is one of the most underdeveloped islands in Hawai'i — I only remember seeing one traffic light during my time there. Lana'i is very special, it smells different, it looks different, people are so kind and sweet. There are tons of activities to do, like staying at a Four Seasons Resort and snorkeling to hiking the Hulopoe Bay — this Hawaiian island has got it all, but you can also feel like you've disconnected when you're on Lana'i as everything is so remote. Las Catalinas is a little beautiful coastal town in Costa Rica with gorgeous beaches and incredible views. The people are amazing and super friendly, and are very much focused on preserving the environment. There's a lot going on here to rebuild the reefs, and you can feel the community's commitment to the earth.
