My Story
DC-based mom who has survived raising twins (so far) with detailed planning and lots of lists. I can't say no to a road trip, festival or fireworks. I crave outdoor exploration, as well as fine dining and an expertly crafted cocktail.
Travel Style
My travel style is all over the map. I enjoy getting out and truly experiencing wherever I am - tours, museums, landmarks, neighborhood wandering, food experiences, quirky attractions. However, I also appreciate a vacation where the only thing on the itinerary is to read a good book with the sound of the ocean in the background and a cold beer in my hand. I especially love road trips (ask me about planning a cross-country trek with a buddy and four kids!) and am an avid supporter of our National Parks. I've been to 32 out of 63 and I love a good National Park lodge. I'm a big proponent of exploring the world with kids, so I love planning trips for families, including grandparents. While family time is fantastic, I also book girls trips and weekend getaways for my husband and me whenever I can. Vacation time is precious. I want to help you spend it exactly how you wish.

Julie listened to our “wish list” and sent us curated options. She found exactly what worked for us as opposed to just generic offerings, provided guidance, and was professional and thoughtful. This was my first experience with a travel advisor and I would certainly work with Julie again.

Julie was an immense help in planning our Wyoming trip. She supported us every step of the way, with great recommendations on lodging, meals, and especially activities. We hired Julie because I felt overwhelmed by choices, and she narrowed everything down to 3 options, which made everything manageable. She is a gem!

Julie did an incredible job planning our trip with less than a month's notice. She was professional, engaging and always available. She gave me great information and was open and honest. Julie provided several options based on my needs and budget. She coordinated everything seamlessly for me and provided such valuable insight. I am so grateful that I found Julie and Fora Travel.

It was great working with Julie, no stresses. The inbound airport transfer was a bit chaotic with a questionable driver, but the outbound (to Felipe Angeles airport) transfer was great.

Beignets and Blues: 5 Days in the Big Easy
New Orleans is a city that calls to me with its unique history, culture and beauty. This truly one-of-a-kind destination makes me feel like a time traveler, and with every visit, I discover something new. This city is a destination that has something for everybody including foodies, history buffs, art lovers and music aficionados. Check out this itinerary for a trip my husband and I took there to escape our children and a Mid-Atlantic winter. Our trip took place in late February, a week after Mardi Gras concluded. It was an absolutely perfect time to wander the streets of this historic city.
