My Story
Destination daydreamer and family CEO (chauffeur, entertainment concierge and organizer) for three boys and a dog. I love Chicago, live music, books, pasta, nature and feelings of discovery.
Travel Style
I mix exploration and relaxation. I enjoy adventure travel, national parks and scuba / snorkeling, followed by relaxing in the hot tub or with a glass of wine. I usually take kids and / or friends along!

Katie is the best! Attentive to us as clients, and she handles every detail. The thing we like most about working with her is that she listens first. She is attentive to what we think we are looking for, and then she returns with a multitude of options that really appear to personalized to what we are looking for in a getaway vacation. She seems to have personal knowledge of the places she recommends and offers, and this works so well in our ultimate experiences while away!

Katie was amazing. Every detail of our itinerary to Spain taken care of. We had not one problem during our entire trip. The trip plans App was so useful and easy to navigate. Katie listened to all of our requests and allowed us to make our own decisions and travel at a pace we enjoyed. We will definitely use Katie for travel plans again (in fact we already are!) and will refer her to friends and family.

Katie was outstanding to work with. She was so helpful throughout the entire booking process, and she provided excellent insight and advice. She listened to our vision for our trip, and helped tailor the trip to exactly what we were looking for. She helped us strike the perfect balance between vacation relaxation in beautiful settings, along with our own fun touristy events that kept us moving! Katie provided the ultimate booking experience for us, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to put together an organized custom trip!

7 Days of Family-Friendly Outdoor Adventure on Maui
Maui is magic. There is so much natural wonder to explore, both above and below the water. Swim in waterfalls. Watch sunrise or sunset above the clouds. Snorkel in crystal clear water right off the beach. Play in the waves. Explore and swim in tide pools. Family adventure opportunities abound. At the same time, Maui has outstanding restaurants, shopping and resorts. You can enjoy active Maui days and then relax with a top notch dinner and sleep at a fantastic hotel. Create lasting family memories on Maui.
This guide is geared toward a West Maui stay, but staying in South Maui/Wailea is also amazingly beautiful, and may actually be a better choice if your priorities are Haleakala and the road to Hana. But we LOVED Ka’anapali, so West Maui is the focus of this guide. You really cannot go wrong as Maui has a seemingly endless string of perfect beaches.

Five Star Hotels in Chicago
Chicago might not be the first place you think of for a luxury getaway. As a local, I may be a bit biased, but if you love great food and fabulous five-star luxury hotels, you need to get here. Did I mention that it’s an easy flight from just about anywhere in the US? Yes, winters can be cold, but with these hotels you don’t need to go anywhere but down to the spa. There are so many amazing five star hotels in Chicago that it was a challenge to pick my top 5, but here they are! Weekend away, planned.

Winter Escape to Yellowstone National Park from Bozeman, Montana
Yellowstone National Park is on most bucket lists, for good reason. The vast majority of people see it in the warmer months. Visiting Yellowstone and Montana in the winter, though, provides a completely different view. Imagine Yellowstone with no cars, fewer people, blanketed in white. You can spot the famous wolves, eagles, bison, moose and maybe even a hibernating bear, to name a few. Yellowstone's geothermal features are even more spectacular and hot spring baths more welcoming. Montana is a perfect launching point for your winter adventure. Couple sightseeing with downhill or XC skiing, snow shoeing, dogsledding, snowmobile rides and more. There's no cabin fever here in Montana!
