Formerly a minute by minute trip planner, I now just plan one or two things a day and look forward to discovering new places and experiences in between. And I love biking in new towns.

Lorraine was very KNOWLEDGEABLE and HELPFUL especially when taking into consideration that this was our first time to Japan. During the planning, she listened to what we wanted, and ALL of her recommendations WERE AWESOME!!! She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us and we REALLY APPRECIATE her help!!!!

Lorraine Villanueva is the best!!! We were welcomed with a card in our room and a beautiful little omiyagi box with the local candy inside. She helped us with booking some activities near the hotel and also dinner reservations the night we arrived. We had such a nice time in Inuyama. Hotel Indigo was beautiful, seeing the Inuyama castle from our room balcony was special.

Japan in May
I love traveling to Japan in May! Now that I’m counting, of the 5 times I’ve gone to Japan, 3 times were in May. The weather was really nice in the 60s and 70s. I loved this temperature, it’s not too hot and not too cold. With that said, try to avoid the first week of May because it’s part of what’s called Golden Week in Japan and it’s a time when everyone in Japan is traveling as well so it will be more crowded and hotels will be booked and more expensive. And even flights into and out of Japan will be higher as well.

5 Days in Japan: Osaka & Day Tours to Kyoto and Kobe
If you only have five days to spend in Japan, I'd say just visit Osaka area. Kyoto and Kobe are all accessible from Osaka. And you'll get a taste of Japan that is more casual than the vibe you get in Tokyo. This is an itinerary I've done a few times with my friends and family. And when I go back to Japan again, I would definitely repeat.

Relaxing 2-Day Side Trip to Ise-Shima, Japan
I searched for locations in Japan that were not crowded with tourists. And Ise-Shima was one of the places off the beaten path. While there, we only heard Japanese spoken, hardly any English. And it was so peaceful there, it was such a great place to relax!
