In August of 2024, I visited the Luminary Hotel & Co in the River District of beautiful Fort Myers, Florida. As a fifth-generation Fort Myers native, I loved the authentic touches around the property that paid homage to "old" Fort Myers. From the beautiful black-and-white vintage photographs of Fort Myers, to the industrial decor that recalls two of Fort Myers' most famous residents, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, to the warm and welcoming staff, this property does "The City of Palms" proud.

In October of 2024, my family embarked on a multi-generational cruise aboard the Disney Wish, fulfilling a long-held dream of mine. I was around 11 years old in 1998 when Disney Cruise Line first launched. For 25 years, I had eagerly anticipated the day I could experience the magic for myself.
