Hotel del Coronado: A Legendary Seaside Escape
Curator’s statement

Perched along the sun-kissed shores of Coronado Island, Hotel del Coronado is a living icon of American hospitality. Since its grand opening in 1888, this Victorian masterpiece has welcomed royalty, celebrities, and generations of travelers seeking coastal elegance. Its blend of historic charm and modern luxury creates a timeless atmosphere, making it a destination where memories are effortlessly made. From its storied past to its contemporary offerings, The Del continues to enchant guests with its unique allure. Although I visited this property on my first visit to San Diego, I had the pleasure of my first stay here in a newly refurbished Victorian room in May of 2025.
